Same-Day Architectural Plans

Architectural and engineering plans must print at the correct scale, with line weights and text that stay legible on site. This service suits architects, draughtspeople, engineers, contractors and homeowners preparing municipal submissions, tender sets or site drawings.

Artwork requirements

Supply vector PDFs exported at the true sheet size (for example a full A1 page), not scaled to fit A4.
Check line weights in the PDF: hairlines and very thin lines can disappear or break up when plotted; use a sensible minimum pen weight.
Include a scale bar on each sheet so scale can be verified, as paper can move very slightly with humidity.
Flatten or check layers and transparency so hidden or greyed-out layers do not print unexpectedly.
Name files with drawing number and revision, and supply a list of sheets and the number of sets required.

Turnaround options

Standard turnaround suits large tender sets. Express helps for submission deadlines and site meetings. Same-day plotting is possible for print-ready PDFs at standard sheet sizes, subject to product eligibility, stock, capacity, quantity, artwork readiness and finishing, with full payment, usable files and approvals before the configured cutoff; the 40% Same-Day Priority Production surcharge applies to the eligible printing and production subtotal. Files that are not at true size, very heavy colour fills, large numbers of sets, folding many sheets, or scanning existing paper drawings push a job off same-day.

Same-day conditions

PDFs are at true sheet size and print at 100 percent without rescaling.
Sheet list, set count and folding or rolling instructions are confirmed in writing.
Plotter paper in the required width is in stock.
Payment and approval are complete before the configured cutoff.
Production completion is separate from delivery to site or a municipal office.

FAQs

Will my plan print exactly to scale?

When your PDF is set up at the true sheet size, we plot at 100 percent. Paper can move very slightly with humidity, so always check against the scale bar rather than measuring off a printed sheet for critical dimensions.

Why have some lines disappeared on my print?

Very thin hairlines in a PDF can fall below what the plotter can reproduce. Set a minimum line weight when exporting from your CAD software.

Can you fold plans to A4?

Yes. Plans can be folded to A4 with the title block facing out for filing and submission, or rolled for site use.

Can you print from DWG files?

Please supply PDFs exported from your CAD software. DWG files depend on pen settings, fonts and references that only your setup controls.
