Choosing a size
Pipe marker size depends on the pipe diameter and the distance from which it will be read. Labels should wrap partially around the pipe or sit flat on its side facing the viewer. Place markers near valves, junctions, wall penetrations and at intervals along long runs.
Standards and compliance
South Africa commonly references SANS 10140 for identification colour markings, including pipelines, and some sites follow their own engineering specification. The contents, colour code and flow direction must come from the customer's engineer or plant documentation. The customer remains responsible for correct identification; we print to the artwork or specification supplied or agreed.
