Materials
| ABS plastic | Offices, classrooms and clinics with indoor wall mounting |

Choosing a size
Mount first aid signs above the equipment or on the door of the room where it is kept, so the location can be seen from the main circulation route. A5 and A4 are common for corridors and offices. A sign naming the appointed first aider is often placed on a notice board at A4 so names and extensions can be read up close.
Standards and compliance
First aid signs commonly follow the SANS 1186 safe-condition format of green with a white symbol. The General Safety Regulations under the OHS Act deal with first aid boxes and first aiders in workplaces. The customer remains responsible for knowing what their workplace requires; we print to the artwork or specification supplied or agreed, and this is not legal advice.
