Same-Day Fabric Banners

Fabric banners are printed on polyester textiles, usually by dye-sublimation so the ink becomes part of the fibre, then hemmed, sewn with pole pockets or fitted with silicone edge strips. They are for venues, retail, events and churches that want a premium, glare-free look that can be folded and transported without cracking.

Artwork requirements

  • Supply a full-size or to-scale PDF with fonts outlined and the scale stated.
  • Use RGB or CMYK files; sublimation produces bright colours, but exact Pantone matching is not guaranteed.
  • Add 20 to 30 mm bleed for hems and pole pockets, or follow the SEG template for frame systems.
  • Keep text and logos at least 50 mm inside the finished edge.
  • Images at 100 to 150 dpi at full size; logos in vector.
  • Fabric can shrink slightly during sublimation, so allow for small size tolerances.

Turnaround options

Standard turnaround is confirmed on your quote and suits most fabric banner jobs. Express prioritises printing and sewing. Same-day production is only possible for simple fabric banners in standard widths with print-ready artwork, approved and paid for before the configured cutoff, subject to capacity and fabric stock. Sublimation needs a separate heat-transfer pass after printing, and sewing pole pockets, SEG edging or joining widths adds further steps, so most fabric jobs that need finishing are better planned as express or standard. Production completion and delivery arrival are separate.

FAQs

Why choose fabric over PVC?
Fabric looks more premium, has no glare, folds without cracking and is lighter to ship. PVC is tougher and usually better value for rough outdoor use.
Can fabric banners go outdoors?
Some outdoor fabrics and flag materials are suitable for short-term outdoor use, but they fade faster in strong sun than outdoor PVC.
What is SEG?
Silicone edge graphics have a thin silicone strip sewn around the edge that pushes into a groove in an aluminium frame, giving a tight, frameless look.
Can I wash a fabric banner?
Many polyester fabrics can be hand-washed gently in cool water and ironed on the reverse. Check the care advice for your specific fabric.
