Materials
| Clear or tinted acrylic backing | Mounting the tubing or flex neatly on a wall or hanging it in a window |
|---|---|
| LED neon flex | Most interiors where durability, low heat and easier handling matter |
| Traditional glass neon tubing | Where the customer specifically wants authentic glass neon and the location protects it from knocks |
| Aluminium or acrylic stand-offs and chains | Wall-mounting or suspending the sign safely |
Choosing a size
Neon-style signs are usually sized by the length of tube or flex needed to draw the design, so simpler lettering and fewer strokes go further. Script fonts look best large enough that loops stay distinct; tiny lettering tends to blur into a glow. Consider the wall or window space, the viewing distance inside the venue and where the power supply will sit.
Standards and compliance
Neon and LED neon signs are electrical items and must be installed and connected by suitably qualified people in line with applicable electrical requirements. Traditional neon uses high voltage and fragile glass, so placement out of reach is important. Signs fixed to a shopfront or visible from outside may need landlord approval, which remains the customer's responsibility; we can advise.
Same-day conditions
- Neon and neon-style signs are made to order and same-day is generally not possible; the lead time is confirmed on the quote
- For a launch or event, a printed poster, foam board or vinyl window graphic of the design can sometimes be produced urgently as a placeholder
- Urgent print items depend on stock, capacity, usable artwork and full payment before the configured cutoff
Pricing
