Signage & Branding

Building Signage

Building signage identifies a property from the road and helps visitors know they have arrived. It covers the building name high on a façade, the company name at the entrance, street numbers and the panels that list who occupies the building. We quote building signage as a survey-led project, choosing materials and fixing methods for the specific wall, height and exposure.

Typical signs in this category

  • Building names at roof or parapet level
  • Company names above the main entrance
  • Street numbers and property names
  • Tenant directory boards at the entrance
  • School and campus building identifiers
  • Façade panels on cladding or face brick
  • Projecting signs visible along the street

Choosing a size

High-level signs must be scaled to the building and the distance from which people view them; letters that look large on a drawing can seem small once mounted several storeys up. Entrance signs can be smaller and more detailed. Height, access and fixing method affect the design, so we finalise sizes after the site survey.

Standards and compliance

Work at height needs suitable access equipment and safe working practices. Building owners and bodies corporate usually need to approve signage, and large or illuminated façade signs may require municipal outdoor-advertising approval. Obtaining permissions is the customer's or landlord's responsibility; we can advise and can assist with drawings. Lit signs must be connected by qualified people in line with applicable electrical requirements.

Same-day conditions

  • Building signage is surveyed, fabricated and installed to order, so same-day is generally not possible; lead times are confirmed on the quote
  • Printed vinyl street numbers or a temporary ABS or correx name board can sometimes be produced urgently
  • Any urgent item depends on stock, capacity, approved artwork and full payment before the configured cutoff; fitting is scheduled separately

Pricing

Signs are priced by quotation based on size, material, quantity and finishing. Request a quote.

FAQs

Can you install signs high on a building?
We quote installation including the access equipment the height requires. Very high or difficult access may need specialist equipment, which we include in the quote.
Do I need permission to put my name on the building?
Usually you need the owner's or body corporate's approval, and larger signs may need municipal approval. These are the customer's or landlord's responsibility, and we can advise.
What is best for street numbers?
Large, high-contrast numbers placed where they are visible from the road. Reflective vinyl helps at night.
Can you update our tenant board when tenants change?
Yes. A modular directory with replaceable strips or panels makes future updates simpler and is worth considering from the start.
